First to the Future
We were among the earliest venture capital firms to enter Greater China in 1993. At the time, it was a bold move into an unknown and untapped market, where the concept of "venture capital" had yet to take hold. But we were driven by a larger vision: to be first movers helping to shape the VC ecosystem in a region on the cusp of extraordinary growth.
Since then, we have backed companies like Creative Labs, which first brought sound to personal computers; Commerce One, the world’s first e-commerce platform; Focus Media, the pioneer of mass digital advertising in China; and many other groundbreaking ventures.
Today, we continue to look beyond the horizon, supporting visionary founders who are ahead of the curve.
