Dr. Fangfang Zhu is a Vice President at WI Harper Group focusing on healthcare industry globally. Dr. Zhu has an outstanding background in academics and a deep understanding in technologies in Healthcare field. Her Ph.D mentor is Prof. Hongkui Deng, the Director of Stem Cell Institute in Peking University and she performed her postdoctoral training with the supervision of Prof. Irving Weissman, the Director of Stem Cell Institute in Stanford University. She was a Siebel Scholar in Stanford University. Dr. Zhu published several papers in top peer-reviewed journals with more than 1300 citations, such as Cell Stem Cell, Nucleic Acids Research, Cancer Discovery and Diabetologia. She has 2 patents and is applying the third one. One of them was licensed to two companies. Dr. Zhu also has hands-on experience working in startups. She was the Founding Member and VP of Marketing of Silicon Valley Institute of International Education and also helped found Silicon Valley 1898 Group Inc. Dr. Zhu has extensive connections with the local communities in San Francisco Bay Area. She is Chairman of Peking University Alumni Association of Northern California and served as Director of Board of Zhejiang Commerce Chamber, USA and Director of Board of Northern California Chinese Coalition.
Dr. Fangfang Zhu received her B.S degree in Biotechnology from Lanzhou University in 2006 and received her Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology from Peking University in 2011. And Dr. Zhu performed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University in Prof. Irving Weissman’s laboratory.
