Steven Tu

Steven has a Ph.D degree in Strategy and IT (E-commerce) from MIT’s Sloan School of Management since 1997, and MBA majoring in General Management and IT also from MIT on 1994.

Upon graduation, Steven started working for Mckinsey & Co. at Boston’s office for 6 years as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Engagement Manager. His career then moved on from US to Taiwan and Mainland working for Taiwan’s largest IT company Hon-Hai (Foxconn) as the Special Assistant of Chairman Terry Gou, the CEO of a BU , and the corporate VP within the period of almost 9 years.

After being in the IT industry and involving in several important M&A deals at Hon-Hai, Steven transferred to the financial area and assumed the VP position of Mega VC, which is a subsidiary of the largest financial group in Taiwan. Prior to joining WI Harper, Steven was the Country General Manager and Managing Director of Fosun International Group (the largest enterprise and PE firm at China) from 2012 to 2017. His responsibility is leading a GP team managing one billion USD AUM fund.  He generated a distinguished record of portfolio of companies in Taiwan, Mainland, US, and Europe, and realized significant profit to Fuson after exits.  Aside from investment, he also contributed to the fund-raising process of Fosun and collected around 1/8 of a 1 billion US fund. Steven received Hon-Hai’s best-performing employee in 2010 and Fosun’s most potential investment professional in 2015. He is also the Vice Chairman of Taiwan Listed Company Association.
