Dr. Allen Chang is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Radiological Sciences at National Yang Ming University, Taipei. He has served as Dean of the School of Biomedical Science and Engineering and is a distinguished expert on the Executive Biotechnology Industry Strategic Advisory Committee. Dr. Chang is the inventor of three MRI contrast agents, ProHance®, Omniscan®, and Teslascan®, with ProHance® achieving cumulative global sales exceeding USD 1 billion as of 2020. He has contributed to over 410 publications, including SCI journal articles and conference papers, and holds 24 patents and patent applications. His research focuses on medical diagnostics, lanthanide fluorides, biotechnology, biosensors, and nanocomposites. Dr. Chang earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University.
