Mr. Penske is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of PMC. Under his leadership, PMC’s digital media network has grown to include leading entertainment sites and award shows known for their original content and premium user experiences. PMC was recently recognized as a Top 100 Private Company by Red Herring, and its brands have been featured in major media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Red Herring, Forbes, CNBC, Reuters, and CNN.
Before founding PMC, Mr. Penske co-founded and served as chairman of Firefly Mobile Inc., which developed the Firefly mobile phone and other youth-targeted mobile products. Beyond media and publishing, he has owned the IndyCar racing team Dragon Racing since 2005; since its inception, the team has donated over $1.25 million to charity. Additionally, Mr. Penske owns and operates a rare bookstore in Los Angeles specializing in rare and first edition novels.
He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. Mr. Penske currently serves on the boards or advisory boards of PMC, India.com Media Corp, Penske Corporation, and Dragon Racing, LLC. He has also been a board member of the University of Pennsylvania Library and the Wharton Entrepreneurial Program.s
