WI Harper Group’s 2021 Portfolio Highlights

2021 marked a banner year for WI Harper Group. The firm saw its portfolio companies close exceeding fundraising rounds, as well as exits in various global public markets and acquisitions by strategics looking to stay ahead of the technology curve within their selective industry. WI Harper’s investments in analog power IC design company Maxic, biodegradable material RWDC, gene editor EdiGene, and fresh food e-commerce platform GrubMarket have all shown promising development as each portfolio company rides momentum into their growth stages. On the exit front, Appier was successfully listed on the Japan Stock Exchange, Labtech was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Kindstar Global was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and Embark was listed on NASDAQ. Additionally, Epic was acquired by Byju for $500 million and Poshly was strategically acquired by Suzy.

In 2022, WI Harper Group will invest in three key areas: enterprise technology, healthcare and sustainability. The enterprise focus will be on data intelligence, machine intelligence, industrial manufacturing, cloud and blockchain applications. Healthcare will include precision medicine, biotechnology, medical equipment and medical services. Sustainability will primarily be alternative plastic and alternative energy platforms / products. The WI Harper team will strive to work with partners to accelerate innovation and drive technology to change the world.
