Mr. Wang, the CEO and Founder of VIZIO, Inc., was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States with his family at the age of 12. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in engineering and has since founded and sold several companies, exemplifying the qualities of a visionary serial entrepreneur. In 2002, Mr. Wang, along with his family, close friends, and former investors, founded VIZIO.
Under his leadership, VIZIO has earned numerous accolades, including Good Housekeeping’s Best Big-Screens and CNET’s Top 10 Holiday Gifts. He successfully guided the company to become the #1 HDTV brand in the U.S. VIZIO has also received the #1 ranking in the Inc. 500 list for Top Companies in Computers and Electronics for two consecutive years, as well as recognition from Ad Age’s Hottest Brands of 2009 and Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Consumer Electronics Companies. The company was also honored as Walmart’s Supplier of the Year.
Mr. Wang’s personal achievements include receiving the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Orange County Business Journal’s Entrepreneur of the Year recognition.
